The night-o event in the Johnson Lake park was great, on a beautiful clear night right after a few days of rain. It was bitterly cold (for NC), but we warmed up quickly after running around in the dark. One of the markers was misplaced and very difficult to find at first - it was hidden in a wet creek many yards from the dry creekbed it was listed as being hidden in. I slipped in the mud and slid right under some thorny vines, which was good, but landed on a stump, which was bad, but better than getting scalped. We didn't qualify because of the misplaced marker, but it was great anyway. Next time I'm going to make sure to have a better headlamp, though.
